Mass Covid 19 update. Cases dropped a lot today, but mostly because they didn't do that many tests. Cases came in at 1,166, but they only did 29,195 tests, so the Positive Test Rate stayed elevated at 4.0%. Deaths dropped down from their recent highs, to twenty five. Total Confirmed Cases: 218,131 Total Confirmed Deaths: 10,512 Bad day for the hospital. Ninety three more people went into the hospital today, and six more went into the ICU. Those numbers are now up to 1,174 and 144. The last day we had more people in the hospital than today was back on June 10th. The elevated hospital numbers aren't surprising because we've had over 36,000 cases in just the last two weeks. We're up 705 patients in the last 16 days.

Mass Covid 19 update. Quite a bit more grimness today. Cases ticked down a bit, to 2,501, but they only did 48,685 tests, which is the lowest number in two weeks. That made the Positive Test Rate shoot up to 5.1%. Deaths ticked up too, to fourty six. That's three out of four days that we had 40 or more deaths. Before this week we hadn't had 40 or more deaths since June 24th. Total Confirmed Cases: 216,965 Total Confirmed Deaths: 10,487 Hospital shit keeps doing badly. Thirty six more people went into the hospital today and thirteen more went into the ICU. That brings those numbers up to 1,081 and 238, respectively.

Did another sort of the previous chart just to show total number of cases per state. Five states have over a half a million cases. Fifteen states have over 300,000. Massachusetts used to be in the top 3 but now we're down to #22.

Did a chart to show the cases per 100k population for each state. North and South Dakota are by far the worst, with North being over 10,000 and South being almost 9,000. Fifteen states total are over 5,000 cases per 100k, which means that over 5% of the population has been infected. North Dakota it's over 10%, which is crazy.

Deaths soared too, going up to forty. Total Confirmed Cases: 214,464 Total Confirmed Deaths: 10,441 Really bad day in the hospital. Fifty nine more people went into the hospital and sixteen more went into the ICU. This is not good.
