Alabama New Covid Cases and Deaths per Month

Haven't done one of these for a while now, ever since my primary source of data, The Covid Tracking Project, shut down back when they thought this was going away. Whoops. Guess not. Here are the numbers for Alabama. I'll be trying to crank these out for all 50 states plus DC and PR over the next month. Let me know if you like this stuff. It's a bunch of work but I'll do it if people are into it.

Mass Covid 19 update. Things are going crazy right about now. Cases soared, to 27,612, which is by far our biggest case total of any day during the pandemic. They did more tests, 138,316, so the Positive Test Rate actually dropped a little bit to 20.0%. Deaths stayed very high, at fifty four. We crossed the 20,000 deaths threshhold today, sadly. Total Confirmed Cases: 1,130,525 Total Confirmed Deaths: 20,018 Things eased up slightly in the hospitals. "Only" fifty four people went into the hospital, which is better than the 209 per day that were going in the past two days. ICU got better too, with fourteen people getting out of the ICU. That brings those numbers to 2,426 and 427, respectively.

Total Confirmed Cases: 1,102,913 Total Confirmed Deaths: 19,964 Another very bad day in the hospitals, especially the ICU. We had a hundred and fifty one more people go into the hospital today and thirty nine more go into the ICU. Ouch. That brings those numbers up to 2,372 and 441, respectively.
