New Covid Cases and Deaths per Week - United States Overview

Did a weekly chart showing cases and deaths for the whole country. Cases have been dropping steadily for six weeks but we only got a drop in our deaths just this past week. They had been persistently high for six weeks in a row. Dropped to about half this past week, which is good. We had been averaging over 20,000 deaths a week there for a while, which is not good.

I've gotten a bit behind on the Covid thing these past couple weeks. This report is for last Tuesday. I'll be catching up over the next day or so. The numbers here are for four days cause it was a long weekend with Patriot's Day. Cases came in at 6,514, which is 1,628 per day. They did 148,111 tests, or about only 37,028 per day, so the Positive Test Rate jumped up to 4.4%. Deaths were extremely low, with only TWO over four days, which is great. Total Confirmed Cases: 1,589,305 Total Confirmed Deaths: 19,061 Relatively good news in the hospitals. Fifteen people got out of the hospital, and two got out of the ICU. That brings those numbers down to 328 and 35, respectively.

Mass Covid 19 update - 4/4

Mass Covid 19 update. Very good news to report today. Cases came in at 2,888 over the weekend, which works out to 963 per day, which is a lot lower than it has been. They only did 115,201 tests, or only 38,400 per day, so the Positive Test Rate ticked up to 2.5%. Deaths though, came in at ZERO, which for three days is absolutely fantastic. The last day we had zero deaths was July 13th of last year, and that was just one day. There were only four other days during this entire pandemic that we had zero deaths. I hope it becomes a trend. Total Confirmed Cases: 1,563,869 Total Confirmed Deaths: 19,006 Slight improvement in the hospitals. Eight people got out of the hospital and two got out of the ICU. That brings those numbers down to 216 and 31, respectively.

Mass Covid 19 update. Cases skyrocketed up, to 2,962, and they did 75,188 tests, so the Positive Test Rate jumped up to 3.9%. Deaths though were very low, at two. Total Confirmed Cases: 1,580,321 Total Confirmed Deaths: 19,052 Mixed news in the hospitals. Twenty one more people went into the hospital but four got out of the ICU. That brings those numbers to 307 and 30, respectively.
