New York New Covid Cases and Deaths per Month

New York is another state that was hit very hard in the beginning, then had a four month stretch with barely any cases. Then cases doubled in October and kept going up like a rocket through the end of January. February and March have dropped down but still ten times higher than their June to September average. Fortunately they have the same situation with their mortality rate as New Jersey.

The first two months they had 370,000 cases and 24,000 deaths, for a mortality rate of 6.5%. The last five months they've had 1.4 million cases and 14,700 deaths, for a mortality rate of 1.1%.
