Mass Covid 19 update.
This is Thursday's report.
Very very bad day today.
We had another record high number of cases, at 9,042, which is up 1,200 from just yesterday.
They did 112,065 tests, but the case numbers were so high that it maxed out the Positive Test Rate up to 8.1%. You got to go back to the bad old days of last December to get a rate higher than that.
Deaths were very high too, at forty seven. Ouch.
Total Confirmed Cases: 965,250
Total Confirmed Deaths: 19,582
Moderate action in the hospitals. Eleven more people went into the hospital and nine more went into the ICU. That brings those numbers up to 1,632 and 362, respectively. We had a huge burst of cases like this back last December and we had 2,428 in the hospital and 461 in the ICU back then, so we're doing somewhat better this time around.

Mass Covid 19 update. Very good news to report today. Cases came in at 2,888 over the weekend, which works out to 963 per day, which is a lot lower than it has been. They only did 115,201 tests, or only 38,400 per day, so the Positive Test Rate ticked up to 2.5%. Deaths though, came in at ZERO, which for three days is absolutely fantastic. The last day we had zero deaths was July 13th of last year, and that was just one day. There were only four other days during this entire pandemic that we had zero deaths. I hope it becomes a trend. Total Confirmed Cases: 1,563,869 Total Confirmed Deaths: 19,006 Slight improvement in the hospitals. Eight people got out of the hospital and two got out of the ICU. That brings those numbers down to 216 and 31, respectively.

Mass Covid 19 update - 4/19

I've gotten a bit behind on the Covid thing these past couple weeks. This report is for last Tuesday. I'll be catching up over the next day or so. The numbers here are for four days cause it was a long weekend with Patriot's Day. Cases came in at 6,514, which is 1,628 per day. They did 148,111 tests, or about only 37,028 per day, so the Positive Test Rate jumped up to 4.4%. Deaths were extremely low, with only TWO over four days, which is great. Total Confirmed Cases: 1,589,305 Total Confirmed Deaths: 19,061 Relatively good news in the hospitals. Fifteen people got out of the hospital, and two got out of the ICU. That brings those numbers down to 328 and 35, respectively.

Mass Covid 19 update. This is for today. Cases dipped down a little, to 2,470, and they did 65,848 tests, so the Positive Test Rate remained elevated at 3.8%. Deaths ticked up some, to seven. Total Confirmed Cases: 1,582,791 Total Confirmed Deaths: 19,059 Bad news in the hospitals. Thirty six more people went into the hospital, and seven more went into the ICU. That brings those numbers up to 343 and 37, respectively.
